Michie is a Milwaukee based artist, researcher, and creative problem solver attending MIAD for their BFA in New Studio Practice. Currently, Michie is focusing on evoking bodily empathy in their audience through discomfort, disgust, fear, sensuality, and humor to develop a deeply human connection with their audience. Often this takes the form of video and audio based works, but they're no stranger to both two and three-dimensional processes. On top of being a full time student, Michie also fully supports themselves with their creative endeavors, working in the video marketing industry as a video editor. Their current goal with their practice is to learn as much as physically possible, including other academic pursuits in queer and art history, and develop a hefty tool belt of technical and conceptual skills to best solve problems and tell stories with.
